KK Cedevita is a professional basketball club from Zagreb, which plays in the Croatian League as well as the Adriatic League, and also is represented in the Eurocup.
KK Cedevita was founded in 1991 under the former name KK Botinec. Starting in the lower leagues, the club has worked its way up from season to season and finally celebrated the promotion to the first Croatian League, A-1, in 2002. In the first season the team took a respectable 5th place.
Another major step was taken by the Croatian club in 2005 with Atlantic Grupa, the parent company of Atlantic Multipower, joining as the main sponsor.
Meanwhile the players have achieved considerable successes on a European level. In 2010/2011 the strong Croatians reached the Eurocup Final. After a sensational 3rd place in 2011 the team came up short against Maccabi Tel Aviv in the 2012 final. As a result the club took part in the higher-rated Euro League for the first time in the following season.
After a relatively weak 2012/13 season, the team wants to attack again under the leadership of the current coach Jasmin Repesa, who also holds the position of the national team coach. With the addition of new players such as Nolan Smith (former NBA player and NCAA champion), Allan Ray and the Croatian national player Ante Delaš, the team is looking strong and has already made a positive start to the season.
