Getting to know Lonan O’Herlihy

I have always been a sportsman but been plagued with injury.  Initially I found an interest through sports rehab and then started to see my body change shape. I’m a naturally lean physique at 6ft3 and 56kg so increasing strength/size was the obvious direction.

I have grown up with a great interest in fitness, and been driven to end up involved with the industry, specifically muscular endurance and body transformation. Since starting LonanFit, I have spent the best part of a decade expanding on my knowledge of the industry and trained a variation of clientele. It is this time dedicated to the profession in a city I love that has made me expand LonanFit to what it is today.

As of late 2015 I started training via Skype/FaceTime, and due to immediate success I now solely work overseas for one-on-one training, regularly travelling to 4 continents and up to 10 cities per week. Bringing exercise and fun together, I aim to challenge those who avoid working out, showing you how to achieve results and do so whilst enjoying yourself.

Since featuring in numerous television appearances and national magazine articles I have become one of the top fitness influencers in Europe. I have completed multiple broadcast interviews and over 75 media articles in relation to modern day fitness trends and have been commissioned by the Daily Mail, Daily Mirror, The Sun, BBC 1 and Men’s Fitness along with many other leading fitness titles. The power of social media is growing and it is due to this recent surge in online training that I now train clients solely via video conferencing and offer all clients and non-training clients an extensive and detailed nutrition range to guarantee results.

As my lifestyle revolves around different hours and I am regularly on the go, my favourite Multipower products to increase my protein consumption on the go are the new 53% and 40% Protein Bars.

My goals for 2017 are to continually grow and develop both my profile and my business, LonanFit. I’m launching a new app, a YouTube channel, and 2 more nutrition plans just to name a few, and aim to work in the US with some major sport and fitness brands.

In terms of my physique and on a personal level, gaining lean size is always on my agenda, and following the success of my cover shoot with Men’s Fitness, I’d like to appear again on either a major cover, or lifestyle magazines such as GQ and Tatler.
